5 Year Guarantee

All hearing aids within our Gold Range are covered by a 5 year manufacturer's guarantee as standard.

Up to 6 Channels

The number of channels your hearing aid has determines how finely it can be tuned to suit your individual hearing loss. With up to 6 channels hearing aids from the Silver Range allow a basic level of fine tuning to help create a more natural and effective hearing experience.

Background Noise Reduction - Standard

If you've ever been sitting in a busy restuarant struggling to hear the conversation at your table because of all the noise in the background then this feature is ideal.  This feature helps you to focus on the important sounds you want to hear, like speech, whilst reducing levels of background noise, making it easier and more comfortable for you to hear in noisy environments.

Adaptive Directionality - Standard

Directional microphones prioritise sounds coming from a certain direction while suppressing background noise from other directions.

A hearing aid with adaptive directionality will analyse your environment and choose where to focus the hearing aid microphones so you capture the most important sounds.

Volume Control

Volume controls allow you to select the volume of the sound through your hearing aids. Depending on the model, the volume is controlled by a small switch or button on the hearing aid itself or by using a remote control.

In more sophisticated models the volume is controlled by the hearing aid itself by analysing your hearing environment and adjusting the volume automatically - providing you with clear, comfortable hearing in an instant.

Selected Phonak hearing aids in the Gold Range also have an advanced feature called FlexVolume. This offers greater control over comfort and clarity by adjusting several settings at once.

Anti Shock

You wouldn't want your hearing aid to amplify all the sounds around you; if it did sudden, jarring noises, like a door slamming or clattering dishes would be uncomfortable to hear. Antishock describes the features in hearing aids that reduces the impact of these sudden loud noises for a more comfortable hearing experience.

Feedback Eliminator - Standard

Feedback is the name given to the whistling sound that you may have heard typically with older or analogue hearing aids. The feedback suppression feature in a Gold Range hearing aid will identify this feedback and suppress it, providing you with more comfortable hearing - without the whistling!

Wind Noise Reduction

Particularly useful for people who spend a lot of time outdoors, whether walking in the countryside, by the sea or playing golf; hearing aids with wind noise reduction sense wind conditions around you and supress the noise for comfort.

Data Logging

The data logging feature in your hearing aid remembers and 'logs' the way you use your hearing aids. For example the settings and programmes you use, how long you wear your hearing aid for etc. allowing your Hearing Aid Audiologist to better adjust and personalise your settings at your follow up appointments.

Telecoil

Telecoils allow certain audio sources to be directly connected to a hearing aid helping to filter out annoying background noise. They can be used with telephones, FM systems and induction loop systems. Loop systems can be found in most public buildings and use magnetic signals to transmit sounds straight to the hearing aid.

Remote Control

Remote controls are available on a selection of hearing aids in our Platinum Range. The small hand held control allows you to alter the settings of your hearing aid, like increasing the volume or switching programmes easily and discreetly.

Echo Reduction

This hearing aid feature helps you to experience normal sound in environments that produce echo - such as large halls, rooms with hard, uncarpeted floors etc.

Wireless Connectivity

Most hearing aids within our Gold Range offer wireless capabilities. That means they can connect wirelessly to audio devices such as your TV, mobile phone or cordless headphones, allowing you to hear the sounds from the audio device straight through your hearing aids in clear, surround sound.

SoundRecover

In a lot of cases of hearing loss it's the high frequency sounds people struggle to hear; sounds like birdsong, children's voices etc. SoundRecover extends a persons range of hearing by restoring a proportion of these high-frequency sounds so that even people with moderate to severe hearing loss can hear more of what they want to.
