As we get older regular hearing tests, like eye tests, become an increasingly important part of our healthcare routine. At David Ormerod Hearing Centres all of our hearing tests are free of charge and carried out by qualified Hearing Aid Audiologists.

If you meet any of the main criteria below you would benefit from a hearing test

You're over 60 and have never had a hearing test

Hearing loss is a natural part of aging - the majority of us will lose some of our hearing as we get older. The RNID report that over 50% of people aged 60 and over have some degree of age-related hearing loss. So, if you're over 60 it's wise to start attending regular hearing tests.

It's over 2 years since your last hearing test

Hearing levels can change dramatically over time. If it's 2 years or more since your last hearing test, we recommend you book an appointment at your local David Ormerod Hearing Centre. Even if you wear a hearing aid, hearing tests are still as important as changes to your hearing can affect how efficiently your hearing aid functions.

You've noticed changes in your hearing

Hearing loss often occurs so gradually that it may take some time to notice. Many people find that family members or friends notice -and tell you! - of the symptoms first.
