Over 50 years experience
The first David Ormerod store was opened in Birkenhead, back in
the days when Yuri Gagarin was the first man to fly in space and
Breakfast at Tiffany's was the film du jour. The year was 1961 and
the man behind it all was David Ormerod.
Fifty years on and David Ormerod Hearing Centres (DOHC) remains
a family run business with a solid, service based foundation.
Here, at DOHC, we've always listened to our customers. Gaining a
reputation for excellent service and value for money, growth has
been inevitable.
In 1985 David's son Peter, the company's current CEO, qualified
as a hearing aid dispenser. Together, they continued to grow the
business through opening new stores.
Father and son opened their first hospital based hearing centre
at Glan Clwyd in 1991. This innovative approach was soon replicated
throughout North Wales, Merseyside, Yorkshire, the Midlands and as
far south as Southampton.
Today, DOHC is at the heart of your community. Our focus is to
help you hear and feel better than ever before. And with 50
years of experience, you can expect the very best.
